The Third Ward’s Soups On (221 N. Water St.) announced this morning that the restaurant will be closing after nine years in business.

The restaurant made the following announcment vis its facebook page:

In my opinion, the Philly Way serves the best Philly cheese steak in Wisconsin.

The Philly Way, a popular the cheese steak shop in Walker’s Point has closed its Cudahy location at 5430 S. Packard Ave. after being open for less than a year.

The owners of Pizza Man, the iconic restaurant that was destroyed by a fire in January, 2010 have decided not to reopen the business, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

This past January, the owners had announced that they had found a new location for the business and would share the news later that month. Unfortunatly, this never happened.

The Dubliner Irish Pub Closes
Jerry Stenstrup, owner of Steny’s Bar and Grill opened The Dubliner Irish Pub at 922 S. Second St.  just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, 2010. The restaurant now has a for sale or lease sign posted outside.

I am very sad to announce that El Guapo’s Mexican Restaurant in Whitefish Bay has closed its doors.

El Guapo’s opened in November, 2009 after closing its Berkley’s Café concept. Ryan and Marija Whitman closed Berkely’s Cafe for only two days over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2009 and re-opened on Black Friday as El Guapo’s Mexican Restaurant.

The SURG Restaurant Group, owner of seven area restaurants and bars, will purchase Ryan Braun’s Waterfront Grill.

Ryan Braun’s Waterfront Grill opened in Spring, 2010, which was opening day for the Brewers’ season, and closed its doors around December 1, 2010.
