Update July 5, 2010, 11:44am: Summerfest is now over and Chili Lili’s has introduced its full menu. The signs are now up and the bar is fully stocked.
Chili Lili’s opened Wednesday at 525 E. Menomonee St. in the space that formerly housed the Holiday House in the Third Ward.
Manager Adam Goldsteyn tells me the plan is offer close to a dozen chilis (meaty and vegetarian), but the owner Jay Schiek wants to offer just six kinds of chili Cincinnati (Three-way, Four-way or Five-way), Texas, Buffalo Style chicken, Southwest, Spicy Pizza and Vegetarian until after Summerfest. For now, you may also get chili topped on hot dogs, cheese fries, and nachos.
After Summerfest, the restaurant has plans to roll out the rest of its chili menu, plus add burgers, chili dogs, and some sandwiches to its menu.
Chili Lili’s Summer Hours are Monday-Thursday from 11am-10pm, Friday-Saturday from 11am-11pm and Sunday from 11am-9pm. Bar and food hours may be extended during Summerfest’s 11-day run.
