Mark your calendars for the 2010 Chili Bowl at the Milwaukee Harley-Davidson Museum. The fourth annual Chili Bowl returns Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 1-5pm (a week ahead of the football finale) with its new home inside the Harley-Davidson Museum's massive 10,456 sq ft Garage. Reserve a seat, and you'll be able to taste traditional chili, along with specialty chilis like chicken, seafood, sweet potato, bratwurst and vegan/vegetarian chili. In 2009 there were more than 60 different varieties of chili at the Chili Bowl. More than 25 area restaurants will compete in four categories - original, vegetarian, spiciest, and "unique." Only one restaurant will leave with the "Golden Ladle." In this climate, you can walk into almost any restaurant and order chili. It's the perfect time of year for chili and we're pleased to give our city's great restaurants a chance to showcase their versions. Tickets for the event are $11 in advance and $13 at the door and allow patrons to sample chili from six different restaurants (more than 1 lb. of chili) and enjoy soft bread sticks from Brady Street's Peter Sciortino Bakery. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.milwaukeefood.com/chilibowl/. Bring one canned food item to be donated to the Hunger Task Force and get two additional chili samples. Parking is free at the H-D Museum. For more information please visit www.milwaukeefood.com/chilibowl/ or call 414-287-2789 (DAILY 10AM-6PM) The Chili Bowl is sponsored by MilwaukeeFood.com, 94.5 LAKE FM, Tabasco and Peter Sciortino Bakery.
